Silver button elastomer sockets hitting >94 GHz at 0.2mm pitch with a footprint just 2.5mm per side larger than the IC, built for prototyping and ATE on BGA, QFN, and LGA packages.

GT sockets use a silver particle elastomer compressed by an aluminium heat sink screw, holding 1dB loss at 94 GHz at pitches down to 0.2mm, with up to 100W dissipation when paired with a custom heat sink. GTP swaps in a gold crown contact for 200,000+ cycles at the same signal performance; SMT, through-hole, and custom rectangular sockets ship on short lead times.

Overview

GT/GTP sockets are Ironwood’s silver button elastomer technology, designed for prototyping, testing, and ATE applications where signal integrity and minimal footprint are both critical. GT covers general development and validation. GTP adds the gold crown for production-level endurance without sacrificing signal performance.
