Fluxgate-based battery current sensors for high-precision DC current measurement in high-voltage battery systems, the CAB Series gives the BMS the data it needs for accurate State-of-Charge (SOC) and State-of-Health (SOH) estimation, with high global accuracy below 0.5% and low offset under 50mA for reliable coulomb counting. Powered from a unipolar +12V battery supply with full galvanic isolation, measuring bi-directional current up to 1500A across architectures up to 800V.
Designed for xEV battery management: hybrid and electric vehicle battery packs, battery disconnect units, and conventional lead-acid batteries. The contactless measurement principle means no insertion losses, and low power consumption avoids added heat dissipation during fast-charging cycles. Programmable CAN features (ID, baud rate, frame period), over-current detection, and functional safety up to ASIL-C per ISO 26262:2018.
