The 957i extends DC hipot voltage to 15KV — the highest DC output in the 95X series. Designed for cable systems, high-voltage transformers, power distribution equipment, and EV battery systems where standard 6KV DC testing is insufficient.
The 957i runs to 15KV DC with 100V minimum start voltage and 10mA maximum current, extending insulation resistance measurement to 6 TΩ at 15KV with the same 100 pA leakage resolution as the rest of the 95X series. Dual Coldfire® microprocessors with DSPs deliver 50KV/second ramps, 20mS dwells, and multi-dwell across voltage levels; 100 tests × 100 steps run over Ethernet, RS232, Digital I/O, or optional GPIB, with 15KV-rated 964i HV Scanner switching cards available for multi-point HV cable and component testing.
Overview
The 957i is the highest-DC-voltage model in the 95X line — 15KV DC for demanding insulation testing of cables, transformers, and high-voltage power equipment. Same DSP architecture and pico-amp precision as the rest of the 95X series, extended to where standard hipot testers stop.
